He was insistent that he have a birthday party this year and he was set on having it at Pump It Up. He had lots of little school frenz come, even though it was on a random Wednesday afternoon. We figured, most of his invitees were from school and they get out early on Weds, so we saved ourselves the money! It worked out really well.
He was so thrilled with his Legend of Zelda ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and being able to celebrate with his little buddies. His dad wasn't able to be there, as he had surgery the week prior but I think I did a pretty good job juggling taking care of him and the kids and planning for the party. Yay!

He wanted to stay home from school on his actual birthday so we obliged but we did have commitments like Sis gym and school. He was fine with doing the tablet and hanging out with us. Later in the day we went to the Rainforest Cafe, which was a lot of hullabaloo in itself, as they had apparently moved locations and my sweet mother was the one hightailing it all over the MGM when it was not there.
Anyway it worked out and he was so pleased as punch to be there and get his volcano birthday cake. My mom was able to come celebrate with us so that was extra fun, and Curtis was finally able to move a little so he could spend time with our little bubby on his special day.

This guy is really the sweetest, smartest, funniest little kid I have ever met in my life. He loves his video games, is super excited to have his Super Mario Maker where he can create his own games and levels for other people to play, loves zombie books and the I Survived series, along with comic books and Minecraft everything. He is a fantastic big brother and looks out for his little sis, is way above average in math and reading and loves to laugh.

He is an orange belt in karate and is very serious about it. He competed in 2 different tournaments this year and placed every time. He is super focused and gets very determined about what he is passionate about. At the same time, he is a wonderful little friend to his classmates and is crazy creative. He is the happiest kid ever, and loves being with his family, but especially his dad - he idolizes that guy. He loves animals and would love a cat someday.
I am so lucky to be a momma to this little boy and the world just wouldn't be the same without him in it. He is sunshine and rain and all wonderful things rolled into one freckled faced, smiling, pale, sweet boy. We love love love him!
