Her gma and aunt Lisa met Cal and I and Sis at the Disney store the nite before her bday where she got to pick out her gift. The staff was nice enough to recognize her special day and did a song for her - so cute!
Her pa was so sweet to get her exactly what she asked for her bday breakfast - McD's Egg McMuffin (back off - don't judge us) and a big ole Minnie Mouse balloon. Plus, he knows how much she loves flowers so he got her some of those also. She was so excited!
We met some of her little frenz at Splashville where the kids and a few of us adults painted pottery and played air hockey, and Sis was able to fulfill her wish of "painting and singing on a stage." They had karaoke which was the best part of it for her - she got to bust out Let It Go. My girl LOVES to sing, loves music, loves dancing, so karaoke was perf for her special day.
She had picked out her cake - a strawberry/vanilla ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins - so we mobbed on that S. Freakin good!
After Splashville, we went to Rubio's (her choice) and then to see the movie Inside Out. She was so thrilled about her birthday being all day and getting to pick what we did.
I am so glad she had a wonderful day and that we got to share it with her. This time is crazy special to me; they are growing up so fast!
This sweet and spicy muffin at 4 is still a delightful little gremlin. She loves (like I said) music, dancing, singing. She is always making up songs and will ask us "You want to hear my song for you?" and then with her lilting little voice she will sing out some random words that sometimes make sense and sometimes not as much but always very heartfelt.
She loves hanging out with her "bruddah", playing, jumping around like Kris Kross, and is full of expressions and funny little sayings and just all the light in the world is conducted through her little body. Her laugh is either a spritely little tinkle or a raucous psychotic guffaw. She is a force.
We just love our little Laurel! Cannot imagine our world without her in it!
